Monument Lane is a West Village bistro serving seasonal American fare featuring ingredients from regional farmers and growers who promote sustainable practices. The menu changes weekly, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to showcasing the local harvest.

Monument Lane takes its inspiration from the area's historically pastoral setting; when the land was once rich with salt marshes and grasslands, pure estuaries teamed with mussels and oysters, and acres of apple and cherry orchards bloomed nearby. In the 1700's and 1800's, New Yorkers came to Greenwich Village as a retreat to the countryside; traveling a road named Monument Lane, now called Greenwich Avenue, where the restaurant presently sits.

Chef Dustin entered fine dining in 2001 at Canoe in Atlanta, the largest four-star restaurant in the country. He spent three years there creating elegant food in a high-paced environment before moving to New York City.

When he arrived in 2004 Chef Dustin began at Bouley, absorbing the restaurant's creativity and honing a foundation of French cooking technique. From there he moved to the Sous Chef position at The Harrison in Tribeca where he gained an appreciation for a more rustic style of fine dining that complimented a neighborhood restaurant environment.

After four years at The Harrison, Chef Dustin moved to Colorado to focus on new cuisines. While there he acted as Executive Chef for two restaurants in Boulder, Aji and Leaf, where he focused on Latin American and Vegetarian food, respectively. He also gained invaluable experience working in restaurants dedicated to local, market-driven ingredients as the restaurants owned their own farm.

In 2010, Chef Dustin returned to New York and fine dining with the Chef de Cuisine position at The Harrison. He brought his travels and experiences along with him and focused his menu on seasonally-inspired, lusty, and sometimes irreverent dishes.

Now as Executive Chef at Monument Lane, Chef Dustin combines his culinary experiences to create fine dining food in a neighborhood restaurant focused on market-driven, locally sourced ingredients.

Private Events & Catering

Private Events

Monument Lane can comfortably seat up to 50 guests for a seated dinner in our dining room or 70 guests for a cocktail party.  A typical event will run four hours, beginning with an hour of passed hors d’ouevres and beverages followed by a three-course dinner. 

Dinner includes a choice of three appetizers and three entrees, red and white wine paired with the meal, draft beers, and the liquor selection of your choosing.  As Monument Lane is a seasonal restaurant, menu options vary throughout the year.  Our chef and event manager will meet with you early on in the planning stages to create a menu and beverage package that meets your desires.
